Get Good Standing

GetGoodStanding vs Northwest Registered Agent

Pricing checked August 20, 2026

Short answer

Northwest offers to order your Certificate of Good Standing but publishes no fee for that service anywhere on the page, so we cannot quote one. What they do publish, free to anyone, is a table of every state’s own cost and processing time. We publish a flat price from $50 with the state fee included. If you plan to file it yourself, read their table. If you want it handed to you, we quote before you pay.

What Northwest Registered Agent charges

Northwest’s Certificate of Good Standing page invites you to hire them for the retrieval and does not name a price for it. The dollar figures in the table further down that page are what each state charges, not what Northwest charges. We are not going to guess at their fee, so this comparison sticks to what the page states.

Ours, for comparison: from $50 with the state filing fee already inside the price. Where the state charges $25 or less the total stays $50; above that it is the state fee plus $25, rounded up to the nearest $5. Nothing renews, and there is no account to create. See the exact price for your state.

When Northwest Registered Agent is the better pick

Their free material is better than ours and we would rather say so. The table on that page gives every state’s own cost and processing time in one place, and their per-state pages go further than most paid guides, down to which states will not accept a certificate older than 30, 60 or 90 days and which do not ask for one at all. If you are filing it yourself, start there. Northwest is also the better call if what you actually need is a registered agent in a new state, since that is the service they are built around and we do not offer it. Where we are different is narrow: we publish the number you will pay, the state fee is already inside it, and you can be done in about two minutes.
