Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with our service. Here's exactly when you can get a refund and how it works.

Full Refund

If we haven't yet obtained the certificate from the state.

Full Refund

If your business isn't in good standing and the certificate can't be issued.

No Refund

Once a certificate has been delivered to you.

1. Full Refund, Order Not Yet Processed

If you've placed an order but we haven't yet obtained your certificate from the state, you can request a full refund at any time. Just reply to your order confirmation email or contact support@getgoodstanding.com with your order number, and we'll process the refund.

2. Full Refund, Business Not in Good Standing

If your business is not currently in good standing with the state, the state will refuse to issue a Certificate of Good Standing. In this case:

  • We will notify you immediately with details of what the state requires
  • We will offer you either a full refund or help guide you through restoring good standing
  • If you choose to restore good standing first, we can re-attempt your order at no additional charge

3. No Refund After Delivery

Once your certificate has been delivered to your email, we cannot issue a refund. The certificate is a public document obtained from the state on your behalf, and the work has been completed.

If you have an issue with the delivered certificate (e.g., wrong option selected, incorrect business information), contact us within 7 days and we'll work to resolve it.

4. How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe. Typical timing:

  • Credit card refunds: 5 – 10 business days to appear on your statement
  • Bank account / ACH refunds: 5 – 10 business days

You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.

5. How to Request a Refund

The easiest way is to reply to your order confirmation email. Alternatively, contact us at support@getgoodstanding.com with:

  • Your order number (GGS-XXXXXXXX-XXXX format)
  • The email address used when ordering
  • The reason for the refund request

We typically respond within 1 business day.
