What We Collect
When you place an order through GetGoodStanding.com, we collect:
- Business information: Business legal name, state of formation, entity type, state entity number (if provided)
- Contact information: Your full name, email address, and phone number (optional)
- Delivery information: Mailing address (only if you select physical mail delivery)
- Order details: Purpose for the certificate, urgency date, special instructions, selected certificate option
- Payment information: Processed by Stripe, we do not store your credit card details.
We never collect your Social Security number, business EIN, or other sensitive personal identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
- To obtain Certificates of Good Standing from state agencies on your behalf
- To process your payment and send order confirmations
- To deliver your certificate via email (and physical mail if requested)
- To communicate with you about your order status
- To respond to questions and support requests
Where Your Information Is Stored
We use Supabase (a SOC 2 Type II compliant database service) to store order information and Cloudflare/Vercel for application hosting. Order data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Third Parties We Share With
- Stripe, for secure payment processing. Stripe receives your name, email, and payment details directly from you through their secure checkout.
- State Secretary of State offices, we provide your business information to the appropriate state agency to obtain your certificate. This is the core service.
- Resend, for sending transactional emails (order confirmation, delivery, status updates).
We never sell, rent, or share your information for marketing purposes with any third party.
Data Retention
Order records are retained for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. Delivered certificate PDFs are stored in our secure storage for 90 days from delivery date, after which they are automatically deleted. You should download and save your certificate when delivered.
Your Rights
You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements), or request a correction by emailing support@getgoodstanding.com.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies, primarily for admin authentication and basic functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Our service is for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to customers with active orders.
